- 3 hours per week.
Learners will plan, design and construct individual sewing projects to gain basic sewing skills and confidence to use a sewing machine. Beginners very welcome. Previous learners will continue to build on skills and knowledge.
Purpose of the Course:
- To learn basic sewing skills and gain confidence to operate a sewing machine independently.
- Be confident to plan, design and complete sewing project/s. This might include: planning a project; drawing up ideas on paper, measuring quantities, listing resources and making approximate costings.
- Learners will improve foundation literacy and numeracy skills and gain confidence problem solving.
- Make something new out of something old.
